Position:            Permit Technician

Hours:                 Full Time

Hiring Rate:        $26.75 – 33.25/hr

The City of Credit River is hiring a full time Permit Technician.  This position reviews building permit and zoning applications, assists with all Building and Zoning permits, contractor licenses, code compliance, and data retention of all Building and Zoning files.  Assists the public and City staff with policies and procedures related to City Code and State Building codes. Additional duties require communication and coordination with citizens, businesses, commissioners, elected officials, staff and consultants. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the City Administrator.    

Work hours are flexible but mostly to be scheduled Monday – Friday between 8:00 and 4:30. Position Title: Communications Intern (Part-Time)
Department: Administration

Reports To: City Administrator
Hours: Part-Time (approximately 3-5 hours per week; flexible schedule)

Hiring Rate: $14 - 16/hr

Position Summary: The Communications Intern supports the City’s public communication efforts by drafting and producing the City’s quarterly newsletter and maintaining up-to-date content across the City’s website and social media platforms. This position provides hands-on experience in municipal communications, public engagement, and local government operations. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with attention to detail, creativity, and an interest in public service.
