Following a comprehensive study by the City Vision Citizen Action Committee, which included a resident survey and careful analysis of the resulting data, and summarized in their presentation to the City Council, the following resolution was adopted on April 22, 2025:   

RESOLUTION NO. 2025-16 - RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE
CITY’S OFFICIAL VALUE STATEMENTS, VISION STATEMENT
AND MISSION STATEMENT. 

OUR VALUES:
We are dedicated to preserving the rural character of our unique community, embracing our
natural resources, open spaces, parks and wildlife, our neighborhoods, rural residences and
our agricultural land.

We recognize the need for thoughtful planning that ensures a safe and secure community in
which our residents are proud to live.

We value collaborative, prudent and transparent leadership that reflects the needs of our
community.

OUR VISION:
Our vision is to build a thriving community where nature, safety, and growth coexist. We strive
to be a model of collaboration, innovation, and leadership, reflecting the evolving needs of our
residents while safeguarding the rural character that makes our city one-of-a-kind.

OUR MISSION:
The City of Credit River is committed to preserving our rural character, fostering transparent
and accountable governance, and ensuring sustainable and thoughtful growth that enhances the
quality of life for all residents.
