2026- Election of Mayor and Council Members

Notice of Election & Candidate Filing

Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 205.16, subd. 4, notice is hereby given that pursuant to Minn. Sts. § 414.09, Subdivision 3, a General Election will be held in the City of Credit River on Tuesday November 3, 2026, for the purpose electing candidates for the offices listed below for the City of Credit River. The filing period for the offices will begin on July 14, 2026, and end at 5:00 pm on July 28, 2026. 

City of Credit River offices to be filled at the 2026 General Election:

• Mayor- to fill vacancy in term expiring December 31, 2026
• Council Members (2)- to fill in term expiring December 31, 2026

• Signs are ALLOWED on private property.
• Signs are NOT ALLOWED on publicly owned land.
• Signs are NOT ALLOWED on street signs or utility poles.
• Signs are NOT ALLOWED in the public road right of way
• Regulated by Minnesota Statute 211B.045: "signs may be posted from 46 days before the state primary in a state general election year until 10 days following the state general election."
