Welcome Scott County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Pherson to Credit River!

The City of Credit River and the Scott County Sheriff’s office announce the appointment of Deputy Jon Pherson as the newest Deputy serving Credit River.

When Credit River became a City in 2021, a decision was made to contract with the Scott County Sheriff to provide dedicated law enforcement services to our nearly 6,000 residents. Deputy Pherson will work alongside Deputy Jeff Strack, who is also assigned to Credit River.

“With two Deputies assigned to Credit River, they should be able to handle close to 70% of all calls for service” according to Credit River Mayor Chris Kostik. “Previously, one dedicated officer was handling about 38% of the calls.”

 Deputy Pherson is eager to get to know the residents of Credit River and better understand how he can meet the specific needs of their community.
